Vendor-Managed Inventory [VMI]

In addition to kitting and sub-assembly, Chick provides broader VMI solutions to its customers. We can source, purchase, store, organize and deliver on a JIT basis products and parts ranging from the smallest nut or bolt to the largest pump or engine. We can receive goods, segregate and store according to finished-goods numbers and integrate seamlessly into production schedules and customer IT systems. We can perform quality control checks, provide small kitting and other sorting/repacking services to deliver goods to a factory floor in quantities and systems designed to match production requirements and streamline process flows.

Chick’s customers routinely use our VMI and kitting services to support “lean” initiatives, taking unnecessary steps out of the factory-floor processes. In addition these services can reduce working capital, release square footage for more value-adding production and virtually eliminate the presence of inbound packaging waste from the manufacturing area.
